Big Scores, Big Fun at Alexandria
The Waconia High School Marching Band completed it's Minnesota tour this past Sunday, by marching in the Vikingland Band Festival. It was a perfect day, as the band marched in front of thousands of marching fans from across the state of Minnesota.
The results were very good for Waconia, as they swept the Class AA awards (Class Champion, Drumline, Winds and Colorguard). They also grabben the People's Choice Award, which is always an award the band LOVES to win. Thank you!
Congratulations to the Park Center Pirates, who grabbed the Grand Champion award, beating Waconia 91.70 to 90.30. Thank you to all who showed up to support the band this season. As always, the group really appreciated all the cheers from our loyal fans, as well as the many parade-goers all season long. Thank you!
The band leaves this week for their west coast tour, where they will perform in two parades on the 4th of July.

Sam Cousin Update:
Former drumline member, Sam Cousin, was seriously injured in a longboarding accident on May 22.
Sam has spent the last month recovering at Hennepin County Medical Center, and has now been transferred to the Knapp Rehab Center for continued rehab. He is well on his way to a full recovery!
You can visit Sam's "Caring Bridge" site by CLICKING HERE. You can visit that site to follow Sam's progress and sign his guestbook. Please keep Sam in your thoughts and prayers so we can see him soon.
