BRADY KRUSEMARK, Director

Brady Krusemark joins the staff in 2006 as the Brass Instructor and Associate Director, and will also be instructing the Front Line of the drumline. JOHN POHLAND, Director

John Pohland joins the staff in 2007 as the Associate Director. John served as the interim Director of Bands for Waconia High school and will continue as the Associate Director of Bands at both Waconia High School and Clearwater Middle school. John graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2006 with degrees in Music Education and Trumpet Performance. CHRISTIAN GILBERT, Drumline Instructor

Christian took his first step with the Waconia Marching Band program back in 1989 as as bass drummer with the Waconia Drumline. He is a 1994 graduate of Waconia High School and has been part of the band staff since 1995 when the drumline was only 12 members strong. Christian is a 1998 Alum of Gustavus Adolphus College where he recieved three majors in Geography, Environmental Science, and Social Studies Education. JEREMY KUNKEL, Drumline Instructor

Jeremy has been with Waconia since the 2002 season. Graduated from Waseca High School. Earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Memphis. Marched with Chopstix percussion, Mankato State marching band, University of Memphis marching band with 2 years as drum major, Madison Scouts drum and bugle corps from 1993-1996. DCI individual and ensemble champion 1994, Instructed the Americanos drum and bugle corps and was assistant director, performed with blast! and toured nationally 2001-2002, instructed Madison Scouts in 2002-2003, Director of Chops, Inc. drum and bugle corps 2003-2005, and currently arrange/consult for The Govenaires drum and bugle corps, Chops, Inc., Waseca, Waconia, and Colorado State. AMANDA SCHEFF, Drum Tech.

Amanda joins the staff in 2006 as a drumline tech. She is a 2005 graduate of Waconia High School and has been apart of the Marching Band for 5 years. EMILY HILL , Color Guard Instructor

Emily has been a member of the Waconia staff since 2004. She graduated from Eden Prairie High School in 2003 where she spent four years with the fall
marching band's colorguard and also the winterguard. She marched with the Governaires Senior Drum & Bugle Corp for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Emily
has also had the priveledge of working with the colorguard programs at Eden Prairie High School (2003-3005) and Minnetonka High School (2006). Emily is a senior this year at the University of Minnesota, graduating in December with an Accounting and Risk Management/Insurance double major from the Carlson School of Managment. MOLLY NORTON, Color Guard Instructor

Molly Norton is a graduate of Waseca High School where she performed as a member of the award-winning fall marching band program. She continued her marching experience as a member of the Govenaires Drum & Bugle from St. Peter, MN. During her 13-year involvement with the corps she has been a performer, technician, choreographer, and – for the last seven years – has held the title of Colorguard Caption Head. Molly has also marched with the Colts, from Dubuque, IA, and performed with Onyx, a World Class finalist winterguard from Dayton, OH. She performed in “Up Down Up”, a production for the Minnesota Fringe Festival that fused the world of colorguard with the world of modern dance and has performed with Good Cooks Dance, a local dance company from the St. Peter/Mankato area.Molly has taught various high school programs throughout the state. She is a director, choreographer, and design consultant. She currently directs the Eden Prairie Eagle Band Colorguard and the EPHS Winterguard and is the Staff Coordinator for the Govenaires. Molly is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities and she continues to live and work in the metro area. This will be Molly’s fourth year designing the summer colorguard show and she is looking forward to another successful season in 2007! TARA NIEBELING, Color Guard Instructor

Tara joins the colorguard staff in 2006. A 2006 graduate of Waconia High School, Tara was a part of the WHS Marching Band Colorguard for 4 years.

JESSE MOLNAU, Drumline Tech

Jesse joined the staff in 1998. He served as Drumline instructor from that time through 2002, then rejoined the staff in 2005. Jesse is a Waconia High School Marching Band alumni, playing with the Drumline from 1990 until 1994. Jesse will be working with the drumline periodically during this season and will also continue to do the website updating for the marching band website and Lake Waconia Band Festival website. When not with the Drumline, Jesse works as a photographer and graphic designer, and loves spending time with three of Waconia's biggest fans: his wife, Sarah and sons, Joey and Ben.
